Tri-State Area Residents Bundle Up To Beat The Cold

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Staying warm in this bitter cold can be a challenge, no matter how long you have to stay outside.

CBS2's Hazel Sanchez caught up with people who found plenty of cozy and creative ways to beat the bitter blast.

Plenty of people also bundled up and tried their best to get into their routine Saturday afternoon.

"I'm running a marathon in two weeks in New Orleans where it is warmer. But, I've got to get it in," one runner told CBS2's Don Champion.

A couple from Barcelona, where the temperatures rarely get as low as they were Saturday, walked around Central Park.

" I have on like three pants and three or four t-shirts," Anna Carillo said. "We try to just like walk and then walk into a museum or something where it's warmer."
