Mets Activate Catcher Travis d'Arnaud From Disabled List
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud is back in the lineup for the first time since April 25.
D'Arnaud had been on the disabled list since April 26 with a partially torn right rotator cuff after getting hurt in a game against the Cincinnati Reds. The Mets activated him from the DL on Tuesday.
D'Arnaud will be batting eighth against the Kansas City Royals.

To make room for d'Arnaud, the Mets optioned backup catcher Kevin Plawecki to Triple-A Las Vegas. Plawecki hit .196 in 34 games.
D'Arnaud has had a history of injuries since joining the Mets, including a partially torn knee ligament, a fractured left foot, a concussion, a broken pinkie and a hyperextended elbow.
D'Arnaud has never played in more than 108 games for the Mets.
This season he's batting .196 with no home runs and one RBI in 13 games.
