Deadly Tribeca Crane Collapse Impacts Traffic & Transit
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Traffic and transit is being impacted after a crane collapsed in Lower Manhattan, killing one person and injuring at least three others.
Street closures have been growing since the crane collapsed just before 8:30 a.m. Friday at 40 Worth Street near Church Street in Tribeca.
Worth Street is closed between Hudson and Church streets.
Just north of the scene, traffic will most likely not be able to travel southbound on West Broadway or Varick Street so drivers will likely be diverted off at Leonard Street, CBS2's Alex Denis reported.
Northbound Greenwich Street is closed at Battery Place.

Also, avoid driving south of Canal Street because many of the intersections in the area could be closed as emergency personnel move through the area.
Traffic heading inbound via the Holland Tunnel will be forced to exit northbound.
Bus riders can expect delays and detours on the M5, M9, M20, M21, M22, X27, and X28 lines.
