Town Of Babylon Takes Search For New Plow Drivers To Facebook

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A town on Long Island is looking for new snow plow drivers.

If you have a truck with a plow and are willing to work overnight for $70/hour this may be the job for you. The town of Babylon has advertised on Facebook that they need new snow plow drivers, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported.

"You don't have to live in the town of Babylon. Most of them are because we like people who are familiar with the neighborhoods in the town of Babylon. You do have to have insurance, you need to have the proper license that New York State requires and we want people to know that they'll be using their own gas, their own maintenance, and their own plow obviously, so they'll have to factor that in," Supervisor Richard Schaffer explained.

The town has over 500 miles of roadways.
