Police: Man Peed On NYPD Tow Truck, Punched Traffic Agent In Midtown

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police said a man peed on an NYPD tow truck a few blocks from Bryant Park this week, and punched the traffic agent who caught him.

Around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the NYPD traffic agent saw the man urinating on the tow truck in front of 18 E. 39th St., police said.

The traffic agent approached the suspect, who punched him in the face, police said.

The agent, a 52-year-old man, suffered pain and swelling to his face, police said.

The suspect ran east toward Madison Avenue on 39th Street, police said.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect.
