Tick Tock, Deadline For Holiday Shopping Is Fast Approaching

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – There are only five days left until Christmas and Saturday is expected to be the busiest shopping day of the year.

On Friday, stores were packed and shoppers focused as it comes down to the last weekend of last-minute shopping. But you don't have to remind shoppers—they know time is running out.

"It's like a countdown. Every second counts," Richard Sarmiento told CBS2's Scott Rapoport.

What to give and what to buy? The answers are in the bag.

"Two sweaters, two pair of jeans and a watch and I'm not finished," Queens Village resident Travis Crosby said.

Rapoport said the most common holiday gifts he saw were clothing and practical items.
