Thousands Of Bees Make Themselves At Home Inside Wall Of Cobble Hill Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Just when you thought your roommates bugged you, try living in this Brooklyn apartment.

Video shows as many as 20,000 bees making their home inside the wall of a fourth floor apartment in Cobble Hill.

'Mickey the Beekeeper' an expert in getting bees out, suspects an air conditioning unit was once in the spot where the bees got in.

It was taken out and the plaster was gone, allowing the bees to enter through the exposed brick.

"Right now I'm looking for the queen. If I can save her and get her in the box I can save the whole colony. They will all follow her," he explained as he worked to remove the bees.

Mickey said once the bees were out of the apartment, he would relocate them to his Brooklyn backyard.
