WWE Trailblazer AJ Mendez Brooks Opens Up About Her New Memoir On 'The Trend'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- WWE trailblazer AJ Mendez Brooks, aka AJ Lee, stopped by "The Trend" to tell 1010 WINS' Rebecca Granet about her newly released memoir "Crazy Is My Superpower."

The book talks about turning challenges into triumphs and includes stories from her childhood. She hopes it helps break the stigma around talking about mental health.

What would she say to her 12-year-old self?

"I'm here. It's going to be rough. It will never be easy. But you're going to get everything you ever wanted, everything you ever dreamed of," she says, adding she'd give her a hug and some beauty tips.

Where would the three-time women's champion like to see the WWE go next?

"The women deserve the respect and the screen time, and they deserve the same sort of attention that the men get. But they also deserve the pay," she says. "I think the pay needs to come up, and they need to be treated completely as equals as the men."

Mendez Brooks also says she has a second book in the works.
