NYPD: Teen Sought In Connection With Death Of Man Found Slain At Scene Of Brooklyn Fire

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a teenage boy in connection with the death of a 61-year-old man who investigators said was found slain at the scene of a fire in Brooklyn.

Police said they are now trying to locate 17-year-old Jahkeem Scott.

The incident happened just after 9 p.m. on Jan. 22. Officers were called to 59 Logan Street in Cypress Hills where firefighters were already on the scene putting out a fire, police said.

Once the fire was out, police said they found Romulo Heras dead inside the home with a neck wound. Police later deemed the death a homicide and released surveillance video of an individual from the scene.

On Friday, police released a photo of Scott.
