18-Year-Old Woman Shot And Killed In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - A woman has been shot and killed in the street of Yonkers Thursday.

Authorities report the incident happened just before 7 p.m. near Lake Avenue and left the 18-year-old victim shot in the head.

Police say there was some sort of altercation and that's when one person pulled out a gun and fired.

The unidentified teen was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died.

It's unclear if the woman was the intended target.
