TAMPA, Fla. (WFAN) -- Two years ago Andy Pettitte showed up at spring training in a Yankee uniform as a "guest instructor." Recently retired, he threw batting practice and talked to the younger players. A few days later he was coming out of retirement.

On Monday morning in Tampa, Pettitte showed up at spring training in a Yankee uniform as a "guest instructor."  Recently retired, he threw batting practice and talked to the younger players. And this time the story ends there.

Pettitte added that he hopes to attend at least one game in the Yankees opening series in his hometown of Houston, and will likely throw out a ceremonial first pitch. But no comeback. He promised.
