Swedish Teen With Asperger's Syndrome Visiting NYC Missing

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - Police are looking for a 15-year-old Swedish boy with Asperger's syndrome who disappeared from a fast food restaurant in New York.

The teen's father said the last time he saw his son, Marcus Kerttu, was Friday evening at a McDonald's in lower Manhattan.

The Daily News reports that the father told police he got up to use the bathroom and when he returned his son was gone.

The father and son were supposed to fly back to Sweden on Saturday.

Asperger's is an autism spectrum disorder. It is characterized by difficulties with social interaction.
