A small collision took place with a black limo, followed by a larger one involving a white delivery van, according to witnesses.

The SUV wound up on the curb and hit at least one person on the sidewalk.

One witness said when he heard the collision, he ran to see if anyone was trapped underneath a car.

"I hear the first one and I turn, and I saw basically the driver of the black car stopped to honk. In the moment that it stopped to honk, I heard the big crash, like boom," Jonny Giordani said. "But the first thing that I did I see if somebody is under the car. Because when I see the lady, I was worried that somebody else was stuck."

Eight passengers in the vehicles were also being treated.

Only one of the injuries is considered serious.
