Suspect Identified In Williamsburg Box Cutter Attack

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have identified the suspect in a box cutter attack on a man in front of a nightclub in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this past weekend.

Rodolfo "Rudy" Lopez is wanted in connection with the attack, which happened around 3:20 a.m. Sunday in front of Club Output, at 75 Wythe Ave. in Brooklyn.

During a quarrel in front of the nightclub, the suspect used a box cutter to slash the 37-year-old victim in the face and abdomen, police said.

The suspect ran off, while the man was taken by paramedics to Woodhull Medical Center, police said. His condition was reported as stable.

Lopez was described as a Hispanic male standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, with short black hair. Police have released his photo.
