Suspect Identified In Staten Island Bank Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday identified a suspect in a bank robbery last week on Staten Island.

The robbery happened around 5:10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, police said. The suspect walked into a TD Bank branch at 1600 Forest Ave. on the cusp of the Elm Park and Westerleigh sections of Staten Island, and handed the teller a note demanding cash, police said.

The teller handed over an unspecified sum of cash, and the robber left, police said. No one was injured in the robbery.

Police have identified Mark Leaks Jr., of an unspecified age and address, as the suspect in the robbery. Police released Leaks' photo on Tuesday.
