Suspect Charged In Deadly Beating Outside 'Mob Wives' Bar On Staten Island

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A suspect has been charged in a beating that left a man dead in front a bar made famous by the reality TV show "Mob Wives."

Stephan Fasano, 23, of Staten Island, was charged with second-degree manslaughter, third-degree assault, and recklessly causing the death of a person in the beating early Sunday that killed Abdou Cisse, 46, in front of the Drunken Monkey Bar and Grill at 1205 Forest Ave. in West Brighton.

Police found Cisse unconscious and unresponsive at the scene with head trauma around 3:40 a.m. Sunday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Staten Island Advance report indicated that a witness saw Cisse had been helping the bouncer at the bar eject three unruly customers, and was trying to calm one of them down when another punched him in the face and knocked him out.

The Drunken Monkey is home turf to bartender Angela Raiola, who stars in "Mob Wives."
