Twitter Reaction: Beyonce, Bruno Mars Outshine Coldplay In Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (CBSNewYork) -- Social media was split over Coldplay's performance in the Super Bowl 50 halftime show Sunday night, but Twitter users were largely in agreement about one thing: The British rockers were upstaged by Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
Coldplay opened up the show playing their hit "Viva La Vida" on a brightly colored stage.
Later, Bruno Mars performed "Uptown Funk" before turning the stage -- actually the field itself at first -- over to Beyonce and her backup dancers.

Let's be honest, Bruno Mars & Beyonce took over that halftime show. Poor Coldplay came off looking like their back-up band. ????#SB50 ????

I'm sorry, but @Beyonce should never have to share the stage with anyone

Coldplay is already killing this halftime show and it's only been like a minute and a half

But it seemed as though even more just weren't feeling it.

I give the halftime show producers credit. They understand that nobody wants to hear an entire Coldplay song.

I loved the Coldplay halftime show, except for the part with Coldplay. #SB50
