Sullivan County Authorities Search For Sex Assault Suspect
MONTICELLO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A countywide search was under way in upstate Sullivan County Friday evening for a suspect in a sex assault.
The Sullivan County Sheriff's office told CBS2 that a search was on for a blue Hyundai with New Jersey plates being driven by a man who goes by the name of Joe.
He was last seen early Friday evening on New York Route 17-B in the Monticello area, the sheriff's office said.
The victim was reported to have fled in the woods and was said to be "OK" following the assault, the sheriff's office said.
There were no reports of any arrests as of 9 p.m.
