Suffolk Police Seek Suspect Who Robbed Mastic Bank

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed a Long Island bank Thursday afternoon.

According to Suffolk County police, the suspect entered the Capital One Bank located at 1235 Montauk Hwy. in Mastic, approached a teller, and presented a note demanding cash at around 3:40 p.m.

The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled the bank on foot, heading south toward Montauk Highway.

Police described the suspect as a white male, between 5'8" and 5'10", in his mid-20s, with a thin build.

He was wearing a hat, blue jeans, and a dark-colored jacket with white sleeves.
