Suffolk County SPCA Offers $2K Reward After Dog Pushed From Car In Coram

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information related to a dog that was pushed out of a car in Coram.

SPCA officials said a call came into their office on Thursday from a woman who said she witnessed a blue-colored SUV stop along Sun Valley Dr. in Coram, open the passenger door, and push a small white-colored dog with a bushy tail out of the door and then drive away.

The witness described the driver as a white male wearing a baseball hat.

The dog was sitting by the curbside and appeared to be very nervous, the SPCA said.

Chief Roy Gross, of the Suffolk County SPCA, said the incident was a cowardly act and a crime.
