Suffolk Police Arrest Homeless Man In Connection With Series Of 7-Eleven Robberies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have arrested a homeless man in connection with a string of robberies at 7-Eleven stores on Long Island.

Police said Courtland Bonalde robbed three 7-Elevens in Suffolk County over the span of 10 days.

The 7-Elevens on Motor Parkway in Brentwood, Islip Avenue in Islip, and Caleb's Path in Central Islip were targeted between Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, police said.

Bonalde also allegedly tried to rob the Central Islip location on Oct. 2, but fled without any money, police said.

Bonalde, 35, is charged with three counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery in the third degree.
