Police: Man Stabbed During Subway Seat Dispute

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- Two men were arrested after getting into a violent altercation on a northbound 4 train Saturday.

The two men were arguing over a seat around noon when police said a 34-year-old man punched a 57-year-old man and the older man allegedly stabbed the younger with a knife.

Both men were arrested when the train pulled into 125th Street Station, 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria reported.

One woman who was about to get on the train told 1010 WINS it's disgusting, but not surprising.

"Everybody argues over the seats. In the morning and on the weekends and stuff. No one is being tolerable anymore, I don't know what's wrong with the people," she said.

The names of the men were not disclosed by police.
