Substitute Teacher Charged With Sexually Assaulting Student In Paterson

PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A substitute teacher in Paterson, New Jersey has been accused of sexually abusing one of her students, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.

According to the prosecutor, 21-year-old Linda Hardan sexually assaulted a 16-year-old student from Manchester Regional High School, where Hardan works as a substitute teacher.

The alleged incident took place on Nov. 20 in Wayne, Valdes said.

Hardan, of Prospect Park, was arrested on Nov. 21 following an investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit.

She is charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact.
