Study: Take Blood Pressure Medications At Bedtime Instead Of In The Morning

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A new study says taking blood pressure medication at bedtime could prevent heart attacks.

Patients with high blood pressure are often advised by doctors to take their medicine in the morning.

But a new study shows a significantly lower risk for heart disease and stroke if blood pressure pills are taken at night.

Researchers examined data on 19,000 patients in Spain.

The study appears in the European Heart Journal.
