New Jersey Community Mourns Loss Of High School Junior

BELVIDERE, N.J. (CBSNewYork)-- A New Jersey community is mourning the death of a high school junior.

Connor Barbaro died Friday night. According to posts from friends and family on Facebook, the teenager got into a fatal ATV crash, as reported by CBS2.

A small memorial of balloons and flowers has been set up to honor the Belvidere High School student, who was an athlete on the school's basketball and soccer teams.

"The district and community are deeply saddened by Connor's loss. He was a great student, two-sport athlete and an outstanding member of our school community. Connor will be greatly missed," Belvidere High School Superintendent Christopher Carrubba said in a statement.

Counseling for students will be available through Monday.

Additional details regarding the cause of the crash are still under investigation.
