Threats Prompt Evacuations At 3 Staten Island High Schools

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Officials are looking into threats at three Staten Island High Schools Tuesday.

Curtis High School, Ralph R. McKee High School and Susan Wagner High School received telephone threats at around 10:30 a.m.

The threats prompted evacuations, though students at Wagner HS were back inside at around noon.

Officials with the Office of Emergency Management and Department of Education have responded to the threats.

The OEM tells CBS2 it is the third threat to Wagner HS within a week.

"We take these matters very seriously and we are following all appropriate safety protocols," the DOE said in a statement. "In addition, we are working closely with law enforcement as they investigate these incidents. Whoever is found to be responsible must be held accountable for these actions."
