19-Year-Old Fatally Shot In Chest On Staten Island

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A deadly shooting is under investigation on Staten Island.

Police said a man was shot in the chest around 4:15 a.m. in front of 606 Page Avenue in the Butler Manor section.

He was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital South, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as 19-year-old Christopher Redmond.

Sources tell CBS2 it appears the man was shot during a drug deal that turned into a robbery.
