Burglars Make Off With Hundreds In Cash From Staten Island Businesses
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Burglars have targeted businesses on Staten Island in a series of break-ins over the past two weeks, police said.
The first incident took place on November 3, just after 1 a.m. when a screw driver was used to break the front door lock of Heartland Village Bagels on Richmond Ave on Staten Island.
The suspect broke two registers, and took $200 cash. He has been described as white, 5'8" 150-lbs, wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, dark pants, black sneakers, and glasses.
A second suspect has been described as a male between 18-20 years old.
Days later on November 6, at 6 p.m. the suspects entered the Payless Glatt Kosher Meats grocery store and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
Then early Monday morning, two suspects entered the Holy Schnitzel restaurant at 438 Nome Ave. They made off with $450.
