Caught On Video: Serial Burglary Suspect Smashes Door Open, Robs Shop In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. (CBSNewYork) - A suspected serial burglar was caught on surveillance video smashing open the door of a shop in Stamford.

They say the same suspect is believed to have burglarized several businesses up and down High Ridge Road, including a bridal shop, a nail salon, a yogurt shop, a falafel store and a massage parlor. The burglaries took place at around 3 a.m. on Nov. 22, 2016.

Video shows the suspect hurling an object into the glass door of the YogurBerry shop, smashing it open and climbing in. He then raids the register.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 20s with short, cropped hair. He is seen on video wearing a plaid coat, red scarf, blue jeans, sneakers and a baseball cap. Police also pointed out his large, black watch.
