Suspicious Package Shuts Down St. George Staten Island Ferry Terminal

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The St. George Terminal for the Staten Island Ferry was shut down because of a suspicious package during the Wednesday evening rush.

As of 5:45 p.m., the NYPD was on the scene investigating at the ferry terminal on Staten Island.

All outbound service has been suspended at the St. George terminal.

Ferries will continue to depart the Staten Island Ferry Terminal at Whitehall Street in Manhattan, with passengers exiting on the lower level at St. George.
