Nassau Police: Man Put On Scrubs, Burglarized St. Francis Hospital

FLOWER HILL, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Nassau County were searching Tuesday for a man who donned hospital scrubs and stole some items from a local hospital.

The incident happened this past Sunday at St. Francis Hospital, at 100 Port Washington Blvd. in Roslyn, police said.

Surveillance cameras captured pictures of the suspect.

He is accused of getting into a restricted area sometime between 12:52 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, taking a master key and ID from the nurses' station, and entering the staff lounge, where he changed into scrubs.

Investigators said the man then made his way to several offices, where he allegedly stole an Amazon Kindle e-reader and an undisclosed sum of money.

On Tuesday, the victims noticed the items missing and notified security, who saw the man on surveillance video and called police.
