Special Coverage: 2014 Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -  An estimated one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

The Susan G. Komen Greater New York City affiliate continues to work towards their goal of a world without breast cancer.

Komen Greater New York funds many community based breast health programs that provide education, screening coordination, support and treatment services. Since 1990, they've raised over $60 million with their premiere fundraiser, the Race for the Cure.

Last year's New York City Race for the Cure attracted over 12,000 people including nearly 1,000 survivors.

For more information about Sunday's Race for the Cure, check out their website.

CBS 2 is a proud sponsor of the Race For The Cure. Check out special coverage below, and make sure to scroll down for more information on some of the people and services profiled in the show.
