Special American Flag Returned To Woman Who Lost Brother On 9/11

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island woman who lost her firefighter brother on September 11, had a special American flag returned to her after it was stolen earlier in the week.

As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, Melissa Brengel was very upset after the American flag that she flies proudly in front of her Huntington Station home, was stolen earlier in the week.

Brengal pleaded with the person responsible to return the flag, no questions asked, and that person listened.

The flag was left on Brengel's doorstep with a note that said 'I am so sorry, I had no idea."

The flag was given to Brengel in honor of her brother after it flew over the ruins of the World Trace Center.
