At Least 32 Dead After 8.1 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Southern Mexico
MEXICO CITY (CBSNewYork) -- Rescuers have been searching through the rubble for survivors after a massive 8.1 magnitude earthquake rocked the coast of southern Mexico.
The quake struck just before midnight, toppling houses in Chiapas state and setting off a tsunami warning.

Officials said at least 32 people were killed in the quake, including two children.
Video shows light fixtures swaying from shocks that were so strong, they were felt as far away as Mexico City where people gathered in the streets fearing buildings would collapse.
"It felt like a train was rolling beneath our feet and that's when we saw the building shaking from side to side and it sounded like pieces of metal just scraping together," said Jeff Paul, a reporter at a CBS station in Dallas who was in the area when the earthquake hit.
There were at least a dozen aftershocks following the earthquake.
This was the strongest earthquake to hit Mexico in 100 years.
