Some Mangos Sold In New Jersey Recalled

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Mang-oh no!

Pacific Organic Produce announced a recall of a limited number of Tommy Atkins mangos sold under the Purity Organic brand.

The mangos were sold from April 14-May 2.

They are being recalled due to a possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause illness if someone eats food contaminated with it. Symptoms may include fever, muscle aches, gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea and diarrhea.

No illnesses have been reported.

The PLU number of the potentially tainted batches is 94051 and 94959. The PLU number is printed in the middle of the sticker on the fruit.

The potentially contaminated mangos were shipped to retailers and distributors in New Jersey, Arizona, California, Colorado and Texas.
