Snow Plow Strikes Scaffolding In Lower Manhattan

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Cleaning the streets turned hazardous for a sanitation crew in lower Manhattan Monday morning.

A Department of Sanitation snow plow struck a scaffolding at the corner of Broome & Allen Streets at around 8:15 a.m.

It appears the top of the truck clipped the wooden frame atop the steel scaffolding structure. Parts of the wooden frame could be seen lying on the street below.

There were no injuries.

Members of the Fire Department responded to the scene to help shore up the scaffolding.

The accident occurred the day after the latest storm Sunday made a mess of the commute for many drivers Monday morning.
