NYPD: Man Randomly Shoves Candy Bar Into Artist's Mouth

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A New York City man is in court after allegedly shoving a candy bar in another man's face before repeatedly punching him in what officials say was an unprovoked attack.

Eliexer Reyes, 35, was at the Times Square subway station when he allegedly shoved a Snickers bar into 33-year-old artist Ian Sklarsky's mouth, police said. Sklarsky asked Reyes what was wrong with him, which prompted Reyes to punch him in the face, police said.

Sklarsky received a cut lip and a bruise from the incident, police said.

Reyes was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.
