Police: Woman Raped While Sleeping On Sidewalk In Harlem

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police are looking for a man who raped a woman while she was sleeping on a sidewalk in Harlem.

The rape happened around 5 a.m. Thursday along Park Avenue near East 125th Street, according to the NYPD.

The 22-year-old woman was sleeping on the sidewalk when the man got down next to her, removed her clothes and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The woman woke up during the attack and the man took off.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and released.

So far no arrests have been made.
