Police: NYPD Vehicle Damaged In Queens Shooting, Investigation Ongoing

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Shots were fired in the direction of police officers in Queens on Wednesday.

It happened around 5:45 p.m. near Mott Avenue and Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway.

Investigators say two men got into an argument when one of them started shooting.

Those shots came close to nearby officers, who then fired back.

Police say it's still unknown if the shooter was intentionally firing at the officers.

No one was hit, but two officers suffered minor injuries while trying to chase the suspect and an NYPD vehicle was damaged.

No arrests have been made.
