Search On For Thieves Who Took Construction Vehicles From Brooklyn Site

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were asking the public Friday to help them find four or five persons of interest in the theft of a construction vehicle, a truck and a construction trailer from a Brooklyn site.

Around 8:30 p.m. this past Tuesday, the suspects broke the locks and the fence on a fenced-in lot at 420 Park Ave., in the northwest corner of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, police said.

They stole a 2005 JCB Excavator, Model JZ140; a 1986 Mack tractor, and a 1980 Rogers trailer, police said.

Police believe there are three more persons of interest, but have no information about them.

Video surveillance from a store across the street from the lot captured one of the suspects, police said.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
