Search On For Teen Suspect In Assault On Woman Aboard D Train

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were searching for teenage girl or young woman in an assault on the D Train at in Brooklyn.

The victim, a 38-year-old woman was on a Manhattan-bound D Train around 10:50 a.m. Oct. 30, when she got into a quarrel with the suspect, police said.

The suspect punched the victim several times in the head and face, and got off the train as the doors opened at the Prospect Park station, police said.

The suspect was described as a black female between the ages of 16 and 18, weighing about 130 pounds, police said. She was last seen wearing a black coat and white jeans, black and white striped purse.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.
