Search On For Suspect In 2 Bronx Burglaries

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were asking the public to help find a suspect in two broad-daylight burglaries in the Bronx.

The suspect was only successful once, police said.

Around 11:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, the suspect walked into a home in the area of Morris Avenue through the front door and attempted to remove property, police said. But the man ended up walking away empty-handed.

The burglar allegedly struck again around 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14. He allegedly entered a home in the area of Grand Concourse through a front door, took a laptop and fled.

Police did not say whether the front doors were unlocked or if the suspect broke in.

Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
