Search On For 2 Suspects In Robbery Of Woman In Central Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police released surveillance video Thursday of two suspects in the robbery of a woman who was put in a chokehold and thrown to the ground at the north end of Central Park.

The robbery happened around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday in the park near Central Park North and Lenox Avenue, police said.

A man and woman came up to the 24-year-old victim in the park, police said. The man put her in a chokehold and threw her to the ground, while the woman took her handbag, police said.

Both suspects fled the scene. They were caught on surveillance video, police said.
