Search Is On For Suspect In Diamond District Jewelry Store Robbery

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- New surveillance footage surfaced on Friday or a jewelry store robbery in the Diamond District.

Police say the suspect distracted employees at the Diamonds By Siag store on West 47th Street on Monday afternoon.

He can be seen reaching over a counter and grabbing a tray of diamond earrings valued at more than $80,000.

Police say he put the earrings in his jacket and left the store.
