Search Is On For Man Who Fired Shot During Chinatown Restaurant Heist

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in locating and identifying a man wanted in connection with a robbery that took place in Chinatown.

At 10:25 p.m. on Wednesday night, a man entered the Lan Larb Soho Thai restaurant, at 227 Centre St., and demanded cash while brandishing a firearm.

The suspect, a white male, fired a round into the ceiling before an employee opened the register. The man took off with $200 in cash.
