Suspect Arrested In Search Of Scrub-Wearing Alleged Bronx Rapist

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A suspect has been arrested and charged in the NYPD's search for a scrub-wearing Bronx rapist, police said.

Authorities say 22-year-old Christavian Trenier was taken into custody Friday, August 8.

Police renewed their request to the public last week to help them find a man who allegedly raped a woman at gunpoint in the Bronx late last month.

The suspect pulled a gun on the 24-year-old victim and then raped her, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect, who was last seen wearing white scrubs and red sneakers.

The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, July 20, on East Tremont Avenue and Meyers Street in Parkchester.
