Sarah Feinberg Leaving Post As Interim NYC Transit President; MTA Chairman Patrick Foye Also Leaving Position

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Interim New York City Transit President Sarah Feinberg is leaving after about 18 months on the job.

Feinberg told the New York Post the position has severely cut into time she can spend with her family.

However, Feinberg says she would consider being state MTA chair, a position that would be created if the State Senate decides to split her current role into two jobs.

Her resignation is effective Friday.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo also announced Janno Lieber, president of MTA Construction and Development, will serve as acting MTA chairman and CEO.

MTA Chairman Patrick Foye is also leaving his position after four years.

He reportedly will now serve as interim president and CEO of the Empire State Development Corporation.
