WATCH: Ryan Fitzpatrick Laterals To Bilal Powell For Big Gain On Scoring Drive

Ryan Fitzpatrick's decision making hasn't been indicative of his Harvard grad education so far in 2016 and that trend continued early in Sunday's game against the Dolphins when he made the questionable decision to lateral the ball to running back Bilal Powell on a third down scramble.

Luckily for Fitzpatrick, Powell made an impressive one-handed grab to avoid backward pass that would have been a fumble and managed to turn up field for a nice gain.

Clearly the risk/reward for trying to pull off a play like that makes it an awful decision by Fitzpatrick -- one he should consider himself lucky to have gotten away with.

The Jets' drive wound up stalling inside the Dolphins' 10 yard line and they settled for a Nick Folk 23-yard field goal.
