Former Student In Custody After Stabbing At Rutgers Business School
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A former student is in custody after allegedly stabbing two people at the Rutgers Business School in Piscataway on Friday afternoon, police say.
A faculty member and a student were stabbed inside an office on the Livingston Campus around 2:30 p.m., CBS2's Tracee Carrasco reported.
Two students told CBS2 they heard a woman crying for help.
"It sounded like a struggle, so I thought maybe there was a fight, but it sounded like a girl screaming in pain," Stephen Mourad said.
"I saw a girl sitting in a chair and professors bringing towels to put on her wound somewhere around here, if I remember, and she was sitting in a chair with paramedics around her," Nathan Gabriel added.
The Middlesex County Prosecutors Office said the suspect took off after the attacks but was soon taken into custody with self-inflicted injuries.
