Rowing Team Rescued After Vessel Takes On Water In Long Island Sound

MAMARONECK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A rowing team had to be rescued after their boat took on water in the Long Island Sound near Mamaroneck, NY Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say the group of students were part of the RowAmerica Rye rowing team.

Some of the team members were treated on scene for hypothermia but have since been released, according to authorities.

CBS2 reports this is the second time members of the team has been rescued in the past three years.
